PALL MALL STATIONERS - WHO ARE WE?

HOLLY set up the shop from scratch! She is from Sydney and has been in England since 1994. She studied Psychology and then Industrial Relations at the LSE for her Masters. Whilst studying she worked in HR but found this exhausting and unrewarding. As soon as she finished her degree she knew she wanted to do something totally different. She worked in various Sales capacities for a while. Then in January 2006 she came up with the idea for the shop and in March started working on it full steam ahead. She then opened Pall Mall Stationers in September 2006.  Holly is bubbly, kind and tremendously positive in everything that she does. She is always welcoming to whoever is fortunate enough to walk through the door.

CHANDNI joined us in August 2010. Loves being in the shop, has studied some calligraphy along with a degree in Fine art and another in astrophysics. Her favourite past-time is teaching herself piano, sparkling the shop along and creatively rearranging also contemplating universal possibilites. Chandni loves people and can often be heard laughing in the shop upstairs. Great joy!

ELIZABETH was here in 2006 as the first intern when we opened the shop. She has returned recently to get us started on our next phase the world of e-marketing, which is now her specialist field. She got us on Twitter and Facebook; so was responsible for taking us into the e-world, which is exciting and really important for our future.

JENNIFER

We have a number of interns who come over from the US. They are people who want to learn about running their own business or designing in different mediums or marketing. For example, one intern designed about 150 different product lines for the Ripley’s shop when we were opening it at Piccadilly: pencils, T-shirts, pencil cases, everything you can think of…badges. So that was a really great experience for her. Interns usually come for 3 months and work in the shop 2 days a week. I like that our interns actually do something, they change the world in some way. It makes it rewarding and very real for them and for us. Our current intern has been working hard on our new website.

Our interns: Elizabeth, Allison, Jennifer, Sarina, Rose, Isa, Christina & Colin
